In Search view and in the Distribution Charts view, when you perform a phonetic search using a search pattern, a search result tab appears with an associated word list. The tab displays the search pattern or its name, if the pattern is in the Saved Patterns list and was given a name when it was saved.
A search result tab group is a pane that contains one or more tabs. A tab group displays the word list for the active tab. The view can contain one or more tab groups.
Unless you specify otherwise, a new tab appears in the active tab group.
Active and inactive search result tabs have a distinct appearance.
You can do any of the following:
To display a search result word list in a tab group, click a search result tab.
The tab and tab group become active.
If the total width of the tabs in a tab group exceeds the width of the tab group, two horizontal scroll buttons appear at the upper right of the tab group:
To scroll to tabs beyond the left edge of the tab group, click the left arrow.
To scroll to tabs beyond the right edge of the tab group, click the right arrow.
When you scroll the tabs in a tab group, the active tab does not change and, if the tab group is narrow enough, can possibly be scrolled out of view.
If you let the mouse pointer rest on a search result tab, a ScreenTip appears.
The ToolTip displays the number of records in the search result word list. It displays the search pattern only if the pattern was saved and given a name different from the search pattern.
