Saved Patterns list

The Saved Patterns list is the bottom of the three panes in the Patterns & Pattern Building panel. It contains all the patterns saved for the active Phonology Assistant project. A saved pattern must be saved in a category. There is no limit to the number of categories or saved patterns allowed in a project.

• There is a Help topic called Show results from Recent and Saved Patterns lists. It describes how you can use a saved pattern as the current search pattern or as the basis for creating a new search pattern.

Copying or moving a pattern to a different category

1. Click to select the pattern to copy or move.

2. Click to copy or to move.

3. Click to select the category to which the pattern will be copied or moved.

4. Click .

Creating a new category

• Click .

  A new category is inserted and you will be in the edit mode, allowing you to change the default name.

Deleting a category or pattern

• To delete a category, click to select the category, and then press Delete. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.

• To delete a pattern, click to select the pattern, and then press Delete. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
