In Consonant Chart view or Vowel Chart view, you can search the data sources of the opened project for all the occurrences a phone.
You can search for it in any
environment. Alternatively, you can search for it in one
of these predefined environments:
Anywhere,
Word Initially,
Word Medial,
Word Finally, or
Alone.
In the chart, click the phone to select it. Then, do one of the following:
To search for that phone in any environment, do one of the following:
Click Search on the toolbar.
Double-click that phone.
To search for that phone in one particular environment, do one of the following:
On the toolbar, click
the down arrow () at the right of the Search button, and then click an
environment in the submenu.
Right-click in a selected cell in the chart, point to Search, and then click an environment.
Phonology Assistant jumps to show the results in the Search view.
Alt+S (keyboard shortcut) launches the search for the selected phone.
It uses the last
environment that you chose on the Search
()
submenu.
The symbol (,
,
,
, or
) adjacent
to the Search label tells you which
one that was.
