Filters allow you to exclude some phonetic data from the view or chart.
You could filter for certain CV patterns, Parts of Speech, Morpheme Types, Parts of Speech, and so on.

You can design a wide variety of filters:
You can specify which field has the data you want to filter.
Types include Normal, Phonetic Search Patterns or Regular Expression.
Operators include Begins with, Contains, Equals and so on.
Values can include items from your data, such as the parts of speech or morpheme types used in the data source.
If you have a filter turned on, a notice appears with a yellow background a the lower right corner of the Phonology Assistant window.
