On the Tools menu, click Ambiguous Sequences.
The Ambiguous Sequences dialog box opens.
Here is an overview of why you might want to use this dialog box:
In most cases, Phonology Assistant (PA) will accurately divide phonetic transcriptions into phones.
However, there may be cases in which a data source contains sequences of phonetic characters you would like to be treated as a single phone, or unit, but that PA, by default, will not. These sequences are considered to be ambiguous.
For example, you may want to treat ai as a single phone.
You add or remove ambiguous sequences in this dialog box.
